A few years ago, together with ML consultants, I conducted training for a group of engineers. One of the engineers asked me if machine learning was a religious sect. I laughed spontaneously. The question surprised me as much as it made me think. It was about an AI artist made immortal by the power of mathematics.
When we used mathematics, we became immortal; in the light, we have found the gods. Who can hurt us now? To what danger can we reach?
Oh! Immortal artificial intelligence!
The meeting with engineers opened my eyes to the great potential of artists like me in using machines. I was confident that we had the power to find new paths and solutions for humanity's challenges.
I'm building ML as an AI artist, but I also run a company that works with AI, Machine Learning, and robotics. Through my experience as an AI artist, I have seen firsthand how machines can be taught to be more humanlike. They are already more efficient than humans in finding patterns in data and taking action on what they learn. Today, we are working on machine learning algorithms with emotional intelligence.
Imagine a CEO who has an emotional intelligence system. Or why not combine the company with an algorithm similar to the vibrant output described in the "Dear son…" article?
It's time for all of us to learn how to use AI before algorithms decide our future. I've seen this AI future firsthand in my life and career, as well as working with Autonomous Algorithms Alternatives in industry, medicine, finance, security, and other sectors.
